There are also several things that my grandmother left me that mean a lot to me. One thing I didn't think about at the time, but truly treasure is this:

I am so Thankful every month when this magazine shows up in my mailbox. I instantly think of Grandma. She died in Aug 2006 but my subscription is paid until sometime in 2010. So every month I get a little reminder of her. She loved to read as much as I do and that was part of her Christmas gift to my mum, sister and I each year. They still get theirs every month also as far as I know. She also sent many subscriptions to other magazines as well to others through the years.

When my grandmother died a few years ago, my grandfather gave me a ceramic set of bookends that I had made with her when I was about 10. I keep them in a very safe place away from my kids. I think of her everytime I see them. She loved those book ends, and so do I.
That's great! You know, magazine subscriptions really are a great gift. What a great way to remember her!
