Welcome to March! This is one of my favorite months, has something to do with my birthday being this month. lol
So I got an early birthday present on Friday. I finally got a laptop! WooHoo!!! I love sitting on the couch or sitting in my bedroom and still being able to be online. I can now watch TV and play on the computer. That is multi-tasking at it's finest!
I got an Acer Aspire from Best Buy. My step-dad called yesterday and told me that it goes on sale today. So I get a little chuck of moola back with their 30 day guarantee. Cha-Ching!
In church at our Sunday School class we get a little newsletter each week. On the back of the one we got today was a picture of a tire and this saying from Corrie Ten Boom:
Is Prayer Your Steering Wheel or Your Spare Tire?
Wow - that kind of hit me like a brick. I try to use prayer as my steering wheel, but know that many times I slack off and it becomes like my spare tire. I am going to put that paper in a prominent place so that I can reflect upon it more often. I want prayer to become my steering wheel.
How would you answer that question?

I would love to say I use it as a steering wheel but know that often it's as a spare tire. Great question to make me think today!

Maybe I'm a little weird, but I don't pray in the traditional sense. I just kind of have an ongoing conversation with God. I talk to him in my head when I need to. So he's more like my cruise control...or something like that. :)
