Well some of you are aware that I have been struggling with my current job. I have really enjoyed what I have learned and I love working with the kids. But I struggle with the hours. Many times I don't leave work until after 6pm and I start at 7:45am.
I have always said that I am a mother first. With Little S starting school in the fall I need to be able to go to his programs at school. Currently I am unable to take any time off to go to activities. This really bothered me.
So I turned in my letter of resignation this morning. It was one of the hardest things I have done in a while. I Really Really enjoy the staff I work with and I really enjoy what I am doing. But I have learned that sometimes in life you have to do what you have to do and not always what you want to do.
I interviewed for a position in early March and hadn't heard much back from them. They contacted me Thursday and told me that they finally made a decision and that they would like me to accept the job. At first I said yes. Then I went back and forth for a while about what to do. In the end after talking to Hubby, I decided that I had to take this position.
It comes with better hours - Mon - Fri 8-4:30. Better money and health benefits. And there is flexibility there if I need to take care of the kids.
I will finish out this week at the Dr.'s office and start next Monday at the new place. I normally would give a 2 week notice, but the doctor is going to be out of town next week and we don't have patients anyhow.
I told a few of the girls myself and the others have found out through the grapevine. I thought that some of them would be upset that I am leaving, but surprisingly most of them are very encouraging. And some are even jealous.
I want to thank all of you that have been praying for me and rooting me for the last few weeks.
Stacy

You are making the right move. I think that God opened this spot for you at just the right time! I am so glad that you got it! Now go in next week and knock their socks off! Tell us what you are going to be doing???
How wonderful! God has called you to be a wife and a mother first- before anything else- and I'm proud of you for following that calling- even when it isn't easy. Love you my friend!
I agree with Shan and Becca. Sometimes you just have to do it for your priorities.. And with more money and better benefits, how can you lose??LOL Hope you love, love, love the new one.
hugs,
Jean
GOOD good luck!!
Good for you & good luck!!

Congratulations...
When jobs are being lost at a great rate and folks are struggling to find gainful employment, you leave a good job and find something with better hours, better benefits, and more flexibility for your family? This HAS to be a God-thing! Matt 7:7-8 immediately comes to mind. It happens when His priorities are your priorities, and you've demonstrated that. Way to go, Stacy! I couldn't be happier for you!
Good for you and the family! God bless.
I'm so glad this all fell into place for you- of course, you know with all the prayer flying around on your behalf, it was probably a done deal long ago :-)
btw- are going back to being a bean-counter? I miss having another around the neighborhood ;-)
I am so glad this is working out for you! I have been praying for you and will continue to pray that this new job will work for you and your family :) yea!!!
I'm glad you found something more suitable that you'll be happier with.... it's hard to work outside the home - but REALLY so when you're not exactly happy with the job.
Good luck! :o)
I am so happy it all worked out. Being there for your family is so important!
This situation sounds like a no-brainer! :) Congrats!
